Introduction and general information styrene butadiene rubber

SBR 1502 and SBR 1712

SBR is the brand name of Styrene Butadiene Rubber. This product is a synthesis and synthetic polymer obtained from styrene and butadiene, which has great elasticity.
This synthesis is often light yellow in solid form, its composition does not have a specific smell, and it is also soluble in organic solvents such as benzene, chlorophyll, and methanol.
You should also know that it is insoluble in water, it has the ability to melt at high temperature, and on the other hand, it is environmentally friendly and does not cause pollution risks for the environment.
This product is produced with different grades and each of these grades has caused the product to have different uses, and currently SBR 1502 and SBR 1712 are among the most used examples.

Rubber and tire making with SBR

With a little research, you will find that the main use of SBR is in the production of synthetic rubber, which is in high demand in the automotive industry, including tire production, in the global markets.
Styrene butadiene rubber gives many properties to manufactured tires; Among these properties, we can mention the high resistance of rubber against corrosion, wear, tear, and wear.
The tires of most heavy machines are made of this material, which can withstand a lot of load, and also with the flexibility it gives to the tires, it makes them maintain their elasticity and have high strength in different weather conditions.
gluing (instant glue and carpet)
One of the main components in elastomeric adhesives is SPR, which is combined with tactifiers and increases the adhesive strength of the adhesive. This material is used in the production of instant adhesives. Carpet glue, shoe glue or glues for gluing leather products are among these examples.
These adhesives do not have a very high adhesive strength, so that if two pieces are stuck together, they will not tear due to stretching.
Industrial adhesives, such as resin-based adhesives and synthetic polymers used in automotive, flower, leather, and textile industries, are based on styrene butadiene.

SBR 1502 and SBR 1712 global market

Currently, the main use of this product is in the rubber, plastic and adhesive industry, which is produced in various countries, including Iran.
Among the important consumers of this product in the world, we can mention the countries of the European continent, America and parts of the Middle East countries, where the supply of this product has increased in the last few years, and even the global demand for buying and selling this product is predicted to grow more in the coming years.
