The softening property that this substance gives to resins has made the obtained resins more elastic and strong so that they can be used in the production of various materials such as plastic, rubber, paper, etc.

When PA is used in resins, it causes a decrease in viscosity and an increase in the resistance of the resin and color produced against high temperature, which are two of the beneficial characteristics of resins baked with phthalic anhydride; on the part of maintaining electrical properties; Also, the resins are more resistant to moisture and as a result, they maintain their hardness.

This product is used for the production of plasticizers, which are the main factor in the production of softeners, and increases the elasticity of resins.

Other uses of phthalic anhydride, of course, in addition to the dyeing industry, include the production of insecticides, plastic rope, rubber production, swimming pool, wire and cable coating, garden hose, in the production of detergents, herbicides and pesticides.
